Gorgeous Victorian silver locket and collar dating from the latter half of the 19th century, circa 1880. The collar features alternating pierced quatrefoil links and double pommel links, with an extra segment of chain that can be used as a pendant drop, or to extend the total length from 16 to 18 inches (two big bolt ring clasps). The locket itself is wonderfully detailed, with various different motifs covering the entirety of its external surface. The back and front feature ivy leaves and a forget-me-not flower respectively, with ivy leaf and vine border and finely chased foliate sprays around the sides. Per the Victorian Language of Flowers the symbolism reads: "True love memories, Do not forget me" (the Forget-Me-Not), and "Affection, Friendship, Fidelity" (the ivy).
